Bought Heavy Rain used a coupleq years back and played it for 30 min and returned it. I just don't see what is so special about a QTE game. It is not my type of game so I don't think it is a big deal if they decide to stay exclusive to Sony.

I don't know about the rest of the World but Gamestop used games are roughly only $5-$10 cheaper than a new game and a lot of copies have scratches, missing online pass, and missing manuals and boxes.
If block games were to occur, I think the best scenario that comes out of this is more frequent sales price of new games because publishers can afford to with higher margin of sales.
Why are people giving cayleee disagress when what he/she said holds true to the majority of gamers. Waiting 2-3 years for a cheaper price/slim model, hardware issue sorted, have a larger library of games to choose from at cheaper price. It applies to Nintendo and Microsoft as well.
Mass effect 1 was also published by Microsoft and it ended up on PS3. Also, Microsoft also got a share of Bungie and Destiny somehow ended up being multiplatform. Anything is possible because Square enix still owned the IP.

People, the fact of the matter is this is a copy cat industry and if the PS4 will not restrict used games, then Microsoft will also not restrict used games. The last thing Microsoft want to do is getting on the wrong side of retailers that sell used games or rent games. No way, that is why 4 studios are needed to make the next COD because they will need to make more versions of the game. There might be some Next gen features that are exclusives to the X720/PS4 but there is no way in god's green earth that they are ignoring 140 million consoles behind. In Japan, Yes. But Japanese RPGs arn't as popular outside Japan during this generation so I don't expect anything dramatic as far as affecting console sales. Hopefully I am wrong and the next generation prove to be a comeback period for JPRGs.

Dude, just give it up already, it hits #1 on the chart in which God of War failed to do in its first week. So if Gears is in trouble, then what about God of War? Gears of war 3 sold 332k in its 1st week in the UK, so that means Judgement sold about 83k... which is nearly 3x as much as God of war ascension sold in the UK in its 1st week (29k)
